Salmon Arm Drive Phase 2 construction starts on Friday, May 4, 2018. Construction will take place between Norleen Lane and Northern Street and will be substantially complete by August 31, 2018.
Due to the extensive work being done on the road, Salmon Arm Drive will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the project between Norleen Lane and Northern Street. Access will only be available to residents who live within the construction zone, as well as service and emergency vehicles. All other traffic is required to use the marked detour route along Stanley Avenue and Cliffview Drive.
Access to the school will remain open on Knight Street during construction and the walking path will remain open to pedestrians.
Traffic control persons will be on site in order to maintain traffic flow through the area. For those travelling within the work zone, please note that a construction speed limit of 30 km/hr will be in effect 24 hours per day.
