The City of Enderby not only offers some of the lowest business license fees around, but it also issues a unique “perpetual” business license that saves business owners an annual renewal fee and associated paper work. A business license to operate within the City of Enderby costs $75. Depending on the nature of your business, approvals by a Building Inspector, Planner, Fire Prevention Officer and/or Health Officer may be required prior to issuance of a business license.
The City of Enderby is pleased to sell its business licenses on a “perpetual” basis, meaning that you do not pay a fee for renewal. Your license remains valid unless there is a change in premises or ownership. This saves businesses money and reduces paperwork!
Inter-Community Business License
An Inter-Community Business License enables you to work in any of the participating municipalities. You must hold a valid license in the community where you are based to qualify for an Inter-Community business license. The fee is $150.00 per year and is not pro-rated. This is in addition to the regular City of Enderby business license, if Enderby is your principle location for your business.
The Inter-Community Business License expires December 31 of each year and must be renewed annually to remain valid. The participating communities are: City of Armstrong, District of West Kelowna, City of Enderby, District of Coldstream, City of Kelowna, Village of Keremeos, District of Lake Country, Village of Lumby, Town of Oliver, Town of Osoyoos, District of Peachland, City of Penticton, Town of Princeton, City of Salmon Arm, District of Sicamous, Township of Spallumcheen, District of Summerland, City of Vernon, and Regional District of Central Okanagan.
BizPaL Online Business Permits and Licences
The City of Enderby participates in BizPaL, an innovative online service that provides entrepreneurs with simplified access to information about business permits, licences and other requirements needed to start, operate and grow their business from the federal, provincial/territorial and participating municipal governments.
Finding out which government requirements apply to a certain business type can be time consuming and frustrating. BizPaL was created to help identify what you may require, quickly and easily. The information you need is available from a single source; entrepreneurs spend less time dealing with red tape – saving effort and money in the process – and more time building their business.
