Pursuant to the provisions of Section 466 of the Local Government Act, a Public Hearing will be held on Monday July 20, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers at 619 Cliff Avenue, Enderby BC to hear representations on the following matters:
CITY OF ENDERBY OFFICIAL COMMUNITY PLAN BYLAW NO. 1549, 2014 AMENDMENT BYLAW NO. 1834, 2026
Bylaw No. 1834, 2026 proposes to amend the City of Enderby Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1549, 2014 to align housing policies with provincial housing legislation (Bill 44) and the City’s Interim Housing Needs Report, including updated housing objectives and policies, revised permitted housing forms in residential areas, and updated statutory references. Specifically, Bylaw No. 1834, 2026 proposes to:
- Replace Section 4 (Housing) in its entirety;
- Update the Residential Lands housing-form table;
- Add a growth-projection reconciliation paragraph to Section 9 (Urban
Containment and Rural Protection); and - Update outdated Local Government Act statutory references.
All persons who consider they are affected by the above Bylaw will be provided an opportunity to make representation to Council by attending the Public Hearing or by delivering a written submission to the Corporate Officer by 3:00 pm on Monday July 20, 2026 (drop off: City Hall, 619 Cliff Avenue; mail – PO Box 400, Enderby BC, V0E 1V0; email – info@cityofenderby.com). Should you wish to attend the Public Hearing electronically, please refer to the agenda package for the Council meeting of Monday July 20, 2026 for instructions. Copies of the proposed Bylaw may be inspected at the office of the City of Enderby, 619 Cliff Avenue, Enderby, B.C. until Monday July 20, 2026, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., excluding 12:30 to 1:30 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding statutory holidays, and will be posted to: www.cityofenderby.com/hearings
