When Courtyard Gallery made a request of City Council for funding for upcoming promotional activities, nobody knew what to expect when Council started to get creative! Rather than donate funds, each member of Council (plus one staff member) worked with a celebrity artist in creating seven pieces of art which Courtyard Gallery would then auction. Council and staff had a blast working with their artist mentors, and produced artwork that impressed – and surprised! – everybody.
The art auction, on April 25, was an even bigger success. The auction netted Courtyard Gallery a cool $3015, which it will use to market itself and its fantastic art.
