The City of Enderby intends to adopt “Water Treatment Plant Upgrade Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 1818, 2025” which authorizes the borrowing of up to $4.1 million to finance a portion of the costs for upgrades to the water treatment plant that will be repaid over a period not to exceed thirty years.
In order to proceed with the adoption of the bylaw, the City is seeking elector approval through the Alternative Approval Process.
Council proposes to adopt Bylaw No. 1818 unless, by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday September 2, 2025, at least 10% of the electors in the City of Enderby sign an elector response form opposing the adoption of the bylaw unless Council holds a vote. If you are not opposed to the adoption of the bylaw, you need do nothing.
The number of elector responses required to prevent the adoption of the bylaw unless a vote is held is estimated to be 238.
