The Enderby & District Fire Department requires complex buildings (e.g. commercial, industrial, institutional, and apartments) to have a pre-incident plan in place. This requirement ensures that firefighters can perform internal fire suppression and rescue activities safely and effectively.
Enderby & District Fire Chief Kevin Alstad has rescinded the campfire ban as of August 31, 2015. The ban had applied to the City of Enderby and the Shuswap Fire Protection District.

The City of Enderby has announced that it is implementing a campfire ban effective noon on Friday, July 3, 2015. The ban applies to the City of Enderby and the Shuswap Fire Protection District and is consistent with the Kamloops Fire Centre’s requirements. The fire danger rating is currently “high” throughout the Kamloops Fire Centre.

After being retired a number of years ago, Enderby's Fire Engine has been restored to semi-retirement. While this Fire Engine may not fight fires, it is enjoying plenty of parade action and public attention!
