Enderby Council Celebrates Civic Service

The gallery in the City of Enderby Council Chambers was packed with supporters on Monday, June 1, as four community members were recognized with Civic Appreciation Awards.

The Civic Appreciation Award Recipients:

Steve Bracker

Recognized “For his enduring dedication to food security, sustainability and community

Steve has become synonymous with food security and food sustainability in Enderby, volunteering with the Enderby Food Bank for well over a decade and also dedicates his time and his veggies to The Harvest Sharing Hut.

Dawn Wierzbicki

Recognized For her extraordinary passion, creativity, and dedication to enriching her community

As the head librarian at the Okanagan Regional Library – Enderby Branch, Dawn is known to go well-above the call of duty, turning our local library into a safe, welcoming and inclusive hub for all.

Benjamin Melin

Recognized “For his outstanding dedication to building community through service and volunteerism

Benjamin is a proud member of the Enderby & District Fire Department, the Enderby Legion, and volunteers from setup to takedown at every City of Enderby community event.

Tony Noel

Recognized “For his outstanding dedication to building community through service and volunteerism

Tony is a dedicated member of the Enderby Legion, and volunteers from setup to takedown at every City of Enderby community event.

Civic Appreciation Award recipients are nominated by members of Council, and must receive a majority vote. There is no set length of service threshold for eligibility.
