National Day for Truth & Reconciliation

Truth and Reconciliation Day 2025

The City of Enderby will observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

“I encourage all people to spend the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in the company of indigenous persons and communities,” said City of Enderby Mayor Huck Galbraith.

“Together, we can build a society based on reconciliation and a recognition of indigenous rights and history.”

Splatsin is organizing a Walk and Gathering to acknowledge the history of residential schools, to honour the victims and celebrate the survivors.

The Walk begins at 10am at the Enderby & District Visitor Centre at 702 Railway Street. The walk will proceed to Splatsin Centre (5767 Old Vernon Road) where a social gathering will include singers, speakers, and light snacks.

We are fortunate to reside on the traditional and unceded territory of the Secwepemc, with Splatsin our closest neighbour. We thank Splatsin for inviting us to join their Walk and Gathering.
