The City of Enderby is seeking a Landscape Architecture proponent to develop a Concept and Grading Plan for Barnes Park (602 King Avenue, Enderby, BC). The project focuses on integrating a new outdoor pool (currently under construction) with the existing park, repurposing decommissioned spaces, and creating a phased roadmap for future improvements that is aligned with the community’s vision and priorities.

Existing amenities within the park currently include, but are not limited to:

• New Outdoor Pool Facility (under construction; scheduled for completion by mid-May 2026)
• Existing Outdoor Pool Facility (to be decommissioned)
• Spray Park
• Playground Areas
• Skatepark
• Outdoor Gym Equipment

Have your art make an impact in your community!

Would you like to see your artwork featured on the front desks of businesses and on the refrigerators of locals?

The City of Enderby is looking for interested artists to submit two seasonal designs for Mayor and Council’s Community Recognition Cards. This artwork will be featured on the front of 5"x7" cards and used to welcome new businesses and recognize citizens for their community service.

The submissions should include appropriate content that reflects and compliments the character of Enderby, BC and the natural beauty of the surroundings. The submissions should be no larger than 8"x10" and no smaller than 5"x7".

The City is seeking two seasonal designs: one featuring Spring/Summer themes and another capturing the beauty of Winter in Enderby.

Preference will be given to local artists. A single artist may make more than one submission to each seasonal category. Each winning submission will receive a one-time payment of $200 for purchase of their design(s). If one artist has two winning submissions, they will be paid $200 per design.

The winning submissions will be for the exclusive use of the City for an unlimited term. The City may use the artwork for other purposes related to its functions and communications.

Submissions will be accepted until 2 p.m. PST on Friday, January 16, 2026.

All submissions must include the following:
i. Artist Release Form; and

The City of Enderby is looking for an individual to clear the snow and ice from sidewalks along City owned properties, and certain properties owned by other levels of government.  The terms of the contract are as follows:

• The term of the contract is November 7, 2025 to April 30, 2026.
• The service will include removing snow and ice from sidewalks fronting the following properties, as shown on the attached Schedule ‘A’:
  • City Hall;
  • City Hall parking lot and adjacent public parking lot to the east;
  • Maud Street parking lot on north side of Cliff Avenue;
  • Cornerstone Garden;
  • Alley letdown north of Cornerstone Garden;
  • Cenotaph Park;
  • Russell Avenue parking lot;
  • Empty lot on the southeast corner of Hubert Avenue and Highway 97A (George Street); and
  • Pedestrian island along Highway 97A (George Street) between 809 George Street and Vetter Plaza.
• The service will include removing snow and ice from sidewalks fronting the rail corridor, as shown on the attached Schedule ‘B’.
• The service standard for snow and ice removal is as follows:
  • If snow is sticking and greater than ¼ inch in depth, snow and ice shall be cleared from the sidewalks prior to 11:00 am each day;
  • If snow fall is heavy and continuous, snow and ice shall be cleared a second time between 4-7pm that day; and
  • The contractor shall notify the City in advance if unable to provide ice and snow removal services on a particular day, so alternate arrangements can be made.
• The City will pay the contractor a flat rate of $73 per snow/ice clearing for the properties shown on the attached Schedule ‘A’, and $50 per snow/ice clearing for the properties shown on the attached Schedule ‘B’.
• The contractor shall supply their own equipment, with an ATV being permitted as long as plastic is used on the blade to ensure there is no damage done to the sidewalk.

The City of Enderby is seeking a consultant to undertake a planning process to update the City’s Official Community Plan, Zoning Bylaw, and Subdivision Servicing and Development Bylaw, in light of recent legislative changes with respect to small-scale multi-unit housing.  The key project deliverables include:

1. Official Community Plan alignment with the recent small-scale multi-unit housing legislation, including accounting for housing supply needs across a twenty-year time horizon and reviewing the OCP’s policies for growth areas and development permit areas; this process would include a streamlined public consultation and community engagement component.
2. Zoning Bylaw alignment with Official Community Plan.
3. Subdivision Servicing and Development Bylaw update to address or enable new considerations, roles, and authorities available to local governments to implement the new housing legislation.

The project will have an approximate budget of $120,000 - $140,000, with deliverables to be completed no later than December 31, 2025.  A well-defined scope will be developed for the project, based on conversations between the City and the successful applicant.

Preference will be given to applicants who have demonstrated experience in, i) developing Official Community Plans, Zoning Bylaws and Subdivision Servicing and Development Bylaws, ii) undertaking streamlined public consultation processes, and iii) creating development permit areas related to environmental protection and hazardous conditions.

Interested applicants should submit a list of qualifications and experience for potential team members, along with references from prior projects which relate to the project deliverables described above.  Accompanying this should also be a schedule of rates for services and disbursements.  A “per trip” estimate for travel disbursements for project team members should also be provided.

The City of Enderby is seeking qualified consultants to lead in the development of an extreme heat event emergency plan, including strategies to prepare for, mitigate and adapt to the local risks. The following activities constitute a general scope of work, with a detailed terms of reference to be developed by the City in conjunction with the successful proponent:

1. Undertake an extreme heat risk mapping exercise;
2. Undertake an extreme heat risk assessment; and
3. Develop an Extreme Heat Response Plan.
