GARBAGE & RECYCLING | | Residential garbage is collected curb-side every Monday (including statutory holidays) and residential blue-bagged recycling is collected every other Monday. Garbage is limited to 2 containers and there is no maximum for recycling. Garbage and recycling should be placed curb-side by 7:00 a.m. The attached recycling guide provides a list of acceptable items to be placed in your blue (or clear) bags. A calendar is provided indicating which Monday's are recycle days.
Each spring, a curb-side collection of yard trimmings (prunings) is conducted by our Public Works crew. Dates and times will be posted on the home page and in the local newspaper.
In the fall, the Regional District of North Okanagan conducts a round up of dangerous goods. Old paint, electronics, fertilizers, and miscellaneous dangerous materials can be taken to the Fire Hall for safe disposal. Dates and times will be posted on the home page and in the local newspaper.
