Noisy Creek is a very popular recreation site located on the sandy north shore of Mabel Lake. The area offers excellent boating, fishing and swimming. A cement boat launch is located here for those with motorboats, and there are nature trails for the hikers. Noisy Creek has numerous camping sites.
This small kidney shaped lake is very popular with local fishermen. There are several tent sites, and boat launching facilities are available. The road access is very rough, but passable in two wheel drive during a dry spell.
Situated not far off the Mabel Lake Road, the campground offers the crystal clear waters of the Shuswap River for excellent fishing, swimming, and scuba diving. The salmon run provides an added autumn attraction for fisher-people. Many natural trails lead through the trees and along the river to other beaches and swimming holes. The campsites are located right on the river near a rock pebble beach.
ELBOW, GRASSY, DALE, & SPRUCE LAKE
Peace and relaxation can be found at these beautiful lakes located in Hunters Range below the alpine meadows. These small, marshy lakes are best for shore fishing or very small cartop boats or canoes. At each lake there is only one open site for tenting. Spruce Lake can be accessed by an easy walk in from Dale Lake. Cooke creek Road also continues up the mountain and offers many trails for the adventurer or hiker.
